„When I was 14 I prayed for friends. One night I prayed so hard that I fainted. As I woke up on the bathroom floor, I realized that it must have been a holy stroke, coming from catholic god, to finally bring me some friends.“
How many performers does it take to talk about something without talking about it? The answer is two. In BOYS* IN SYNC - DODGING, the bodies of the performers Jakob and Simon are moving through the most popular discourses of contemporary performance theatre. Together they are spiraling around questions of sexuality, gender, death and religion until the circles become squares. In various layers of movement and storytelling, they look back on their teenage experiences of love, trust and abuse, imagining a world without the one thing missing: The loving support of a best friend.
